House Moving Across Phoenix and the Valley of the Sun

A whole house asks far more of a crew than any apartment does, and gearing up for exactly that is the entire job. Picture the garage packed wall to wall, the laundry room and pantry holding every bit of gear that never made it back to its shelf, a backyard storage shed full of tools and patio furniture, and the bedrooms sitting up a flight in a Mesa two-story. We arrive with a truck matched to the actual house, W-2 hands who do this for a living, and a written room-by-room plan drawn up before the first box leaves the door, all on one low flat rate. For Hector and the crew, your household is the only job on the board that day, because that is how an affordable local company keeps its name good.

What Move Day Looks Like

It starts with a room-by-room walk alongside you so nothing slips through. We flag the heavy and awkward pieces first: the long sectional, the loaded china cabinet, the king bed, a gun safe, the marble-top dresser. Whatever is bolted or modular comes apart, rides wrapped in quilted blankets, and goes back together at the new place. Anything fragile goes under shrink film before it budges. Your closet travels upright and on its hangers in wardrobe boxes, so unpacking it later takes minutes instead of a whole evening.

Once a house hits four bedrooms or more, we bring extra crew and a second truck, partly so we can finish loading and unloading before the afternoon heat peaks past 110 or a monsoon dust storm rolls in. Figure roughly four to eight hours for a typical Valley house move, with the actual number riding on size, layout, and distance. A two-story Chandler home with a long upstairs hallway naturally takes longer than a single-story Glendale stucco ranch, and that difference is already baked into the flat written figure you saw up front. No meter ever starts ticking against you halfway through the day, and no surprise fee waits at the end.

The Valley Homes We Load Most

We know the housing stock because Hector grew up inside it. Phoenix, Mesa, and Glendale run heavy to single-story stucco-and-tile homes and ranch houses, where the work is the side gate, the long carry to the curb, and getting it done before the heat peaks. Chandler, Gilbert, and Surprise bring the master-planned HOA and gated communities with their move-in rules and gate check-ins, and the newer far-suburb subdivisions add two-story floor plans with their interior stairs. Then there are the downtown Phoenix and Tempe high-rise condos and the ASU-area turnover, where a reserved freight elevator and a building COI shape the whole day. The Sun City 55-plus homes and snowbird seasonal moves make up a steady slice of the calendar. The high-rises and the older estates, meanwhile, bring the specialty work that demands a careful hand: a baby grand or upright piano, a safe that needs rigging, an heirloom hutch behind glass doors.

What a House Move Costs

After we inventory the home, on-site or by video, you leave with a single low flat written price. No hourly meter, no fuel add-on, no stair fee lying in wait at the finish. That price already covers the crew, the truck, the fuel, the pads and shrink wrap, and the standard take-apart and rebuild. A studio or one-bedroom opens near $300 to $880, and a four-bedroom with the garage, laundry room, and shed all loaded climbs toward $4,100. Hector weighs the full job before he sets a number: how the summer heat or a monsoon haboob shapes the early-morning start, the two-story Chandler and Mesa stairwells, the downtown high-rise loading zone and freight elevator, the COI, the HOA gate check-in, and the I-10 and Loop 101 traffic windows. Whatever he writes on the contract is what you pay.

The service I received was excellent. The two movers who came to my home arrived on time and moved a couch, coffee table, and treadmill to my basement. Moving the couch and coffee table were easy but the treadmill was not easy. Marco and Junior went above and beyond to move to figure it all out. They both did an excellent job!

Good questions to ask

The stuff people usually want cleared up first

How long does a house move run in the Valley?
Most two- and three-bedroom homes land around four to six hours, while a four-bedroom or a two-story house tends to run six to eight. In summer we shape the day so loading and unloading beat the afternoon heat past 110, and a two-story Chandler or Mesa home with a long upstairs run adds time we have already worked into your flat price.
Do you clear the garage and shed too?
We do. The crew empties the garage, the laundry room and pantry, the backyard storage shed, and any workshop right alongside the house. The one exception is hazardous material: gasoline, propane, and paint thinner cannot ride a moving truck, so those go in your own vehicle.
Can you handle heavy furniture and a safe?
Every single day. Dressers, king beds, dining tables, and sectionals move on dollies, straps, and proper rigging, and a gun safe is the same drill. Modular furniture, cribs, and beds come apart and rebuild at the new place with nothing hidden in the cost. Pianos price on their own and plainly: an upright is $260 to $420, a baby grand $480 to $760.
My place is a two-story with several floors. Trouble?
Not at all. The stair carry is already in your flat price, and we run runners over tile and hardwood to protect every step, plus floor protection through a gated-community lobby when the HOA flags it. The crew stages the heaviest pieces by the stairwell first and holds a steady pace. We have worked the two-story Chandler and Mesa floor plans plenty, and we move through them carefully.
Are weekend moves an option?
We run Monday through Saturday, and Saturdays go first, especially through the summer-heat months and the snowbird winter season, so booking early pays off. Sundays are available by request for an added fee.
